Katie Baldino, Elite Young Rider

My name is Katie Baldino and I am from Marietta, Georgia. I am currently studying biology at the University of Georgia. I have been riding since I was seven, and started endurance when I was twelve. Once I turned fourteen, I started to get my stars and competed in my first NAJYRC in 2013. Last year was quite an eventful year, as I earned my elite rider status, finished fifth at NAJRYC individually and went to Chile for the Young Rider WEC on the US team, both with MK Clark’s horses. I started taking dressage lessons November of 2015 and really have been enjoying it. There is so much that I have learned that applies to both disciplines. The Young Rider program has been such a blessing as I have been able to learn so much as well as travel and see more of the world than I would have otherwise. When I am not riding, I enjoy running and reading.
